MOURNING DAWN
Mourning Dawn came to life as a one-man-band in 2002. The first album was released in 2007 on Totalrust Music, receiving very good feedbacks from critics, especially concerning the special blend of doom and black metal, and the extreme harshness of the vocals. The band evolved then as a full line up to start their first gigs around France and Europe, sharing the stage with bands like Evoken, Mourning Beloveth, Forgotten Tomb, Ahab, Isole, Mournful Congregation, and many others. During the next years, the band released two albums “For the fallen” and “Les sacrifiés” still through Totalrust Music.
Then, an experimental Ep called “Waste” was released through UK label Aesthetic Death (Esoteric). Highly influenced by Godflesh’s industrial vibe, this Ep got great feedbacks from both experimental and extreme doom scene.“Dead End Euphoria”, their 4th full length was released in april 2021. It was a real commercial and musical success, leading the band to work quickly on a follow up, entitled “The foam of despair”.
This fifth album has been produced by Déhà (Wolvennest, Slow) at Opus Magnum Studios, during the summer of 2022. It offers natural continuation of band’s own style oscillating between oppressive Death/Doom & Black Metal aggressiveness with post/industrial influences.
Think about Bethlehem, Forgotten Tomb, Neurosis, Katatonia (old and new), Dolorian, or Godflesh and you still can only get a vague idea of what’s played here.

SHATTERED HOPE
Shattered Hope's music can be described mainly as atmospheric doom/death - funeral doom metal. The band was formed in Athens in July 2002. After many line-up changes, it was finally settled in December 2003 that Shattered Hope would be a six member band. Thereafter, the band played its first gigs at many clubs and open festivals, performing their own tracks as well as covers of My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost, Saturnus etc.
In June 2005 the first demo was released under the name ‘A View of Grief’ which included 6 songs. It received great reviews on magazines, fanzines and webzines. Moreover, the Greek edition of Metal Hammer rated it a 7,5/10. After that release the band played many live gigs for its promotion. In September 2007, Shattered Hope recorded their second demo ‘Promo 2007’ that contains two tracks. Many performances followed for its promotion in Greece and abroad, some of which along with well-known bands of the scene such as Saturnus, Mourning Beloveth, Ataraxie, Mar De Grises, Mourning Dawn, Ahab, Pagan Altar and many others. Meanwhile the band was composing its debut album, which was finally recorded in December 2010 under the name “Absence”. It's consisted of seven mournful stories. “Absence” was released by Solitude Productions, a remarkable and well-known doom label. A great co-operation with Lugga Music Productions and Adrian De Buitléar started for booking and promotional reasons. Shattered Hope promoted “Absence”, making a start with a support act to the godfathers of doom My Dying Bride in January 2010, one of their most memorable shows. In the years that followed the band participated in many great festivals, such as, Doom Shall Rise, Ghost Fest, Dublin Doom Day, Dutch Doom Days and other local and European festivals. At the same time, Shattered Hope had started composing their second album which was released in February 2014 by Solitude Productions. “Waters of Lethe” is a more funeral and extreme shape of their music, consisting of six dark and heavy songs. In February 2014, Shattered Hope became a five-member band as they stopped using keyboards in their music. In July 2019 Shattered Hope recorded their third album, named "Vespers", a darker and colder shape of them, which was released later on November 2020 once again from Solitude Productions.
OFFICIUM TRISTE
2024 is a special year for Dutch melodic doom/death band Officium Triste. The six-piece with their origins in Rotterdam have been around for 30 years. And their seventh studio album “Hortus Venenum” will be released in 2024 by India’s Transcending Obscurity Records. Within their 30 years the band went through various line-up changes. The message hasn’t changed; composing melodic doom/death metal with bands such as Paradise Lost, Anathema, My Dying Bride, Celestial Season, Type O Negative and Katatonia, as important sources of inspiration. Officium Triste doesn’t follow any trends. They rely on their own strength and work in their own tempo. As low one that is. Live they hold their ground too. From Malta to Moscow. Headlining shows or as support to bands such as Candlemass or Anathema.
